Data Scientist - Petrochemicals 

RAM Resourcing are currently working with a fast expanding global powehouse who are looking for a Data Scientist to join their London office.

As the Data Scientist your role will be to primarily provide invaluable data analysis of the petrochemcial markets,identify and assess complex problems for area(s) of responsibility and create solutions for situations in which analysis requires in-depth knowledge of organisational objectives.

The Data Scientist day to day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Apply various data science technologies (statistical analysis, machine learning, and pattern recognition and data visualization) along with domain knowledge and subject-specific models to solve scientific, engineering, manufacturing and commercial problems
• Develop, deploy and sustain applications in the downstream business using advanced quantitative methods
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop data-driven solutions utilizing the domain knowledge where possible
• Initiate new impactful data science opportunities from other teams in the business and use data visualization tools to derive insights from data

To qualify for this role you will need to have worked in a similar role for at least 3 years within relevant oil markets. You will have a proactive approach to data and information management and a keen eye for the small details. From your previous you will have in depth knowledge of machine learning/statistical learning methodologies such as regression, classification, unsupervised learning, and time series analysis. As well as this programming skills in a scripting language like Python, R or MATLABe.
